Home

Home is an installation of eleven holographic fans showing rotating images of my family members alongside still lifes of everyday domestic scenes. The images appear as low-fi holograms, constantly turning, overlapping, and changing as you move around them.

The work comes from my obsession with 3D scanning and the way digital images try, and often fail, to preserve reality. For me, the fans became a metaphor for memory: small images endlessly rotating in your head, sometimes visible and dominant, sometimes disappearing and falling apart.
